Katsuhiko Maeda (前田 勝彦), professionally known as World's End Girlfriend, is a Japanese electronic musician and record producer. He was born on November 1, 1975, in the Gotō Islands, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. He founded Virgin Babylon Records and has been active in music since 2000. Maeda began creating music at age 10. His debut studio album, Ending Story, arrived in 2000, followed by Farewell Kingdom (2001). In 2005, he collaborated with the Japanese band Mono on Palmless Prayer / Mass Murder Refrain, which received recognition from the webzine Somewhere Cold in 2007. He released Hurtbreak Wonderland in 2007, Seven Idiots in 2010, and Last Waltz in 2016. Beyond albums, Maeda has composed film scores, including work for Air Doll and Starry Starry Night.
