Nils Frahm (born 20 September 1982) is a German musician, composer, and record producer based in Berlin. He is known for combining classical and electronic music and for an unconventional approach to the piano in which he mixes a grand piano, upright piano, Roland Juno-60, Rhodes piano, drum machines, and Moog Taurus.

Bio
Berlin-based pianist Nils Frahm has build steady reputation in the electronic world although he is mostly known as a modern classical pianist. Extending his solo piano set with a Juno synthesiser, Rhodes and tape delay, has seen Frahm bring his unique.. As the recognition continues to grow for his previous solo piano works 'Wintermusik' (2009) and 'The Bells' (2009), 2011 saw the release of his critically acclaimed record 'Felt'. The album was followed by the solo synthesiser EP 'Juno' and 'Screws' (2012) – a birthday gift to his fans he recorded while recovering from a thumb injury. Nils released his follow up to Juno titled 'Juno Reworked' (2013) with guest reworks by Luke Abbott and Clark. Nils returned with his new album 'Spaces' 2013 expressing his love for experimentation and answering the call from his fans for a record that truly reflects what they have witnessed during his concerts. Nils is currently on his worldwide Spaces 2014 tour.

Bio
Nils Oliver Frahm received early piano training and studied classical pianists and contemporary composers before developing his own compositional voice. He operates as a composer, producer, and performer from his Berlin-based Funkhaus studio. His approach combines contemplative and intimate playing with expansive stage productions, earning international recognition for emotional depth and technical control. His discography includes solo works Wintermusik and The Bells (2009-2010), the collaborative album 7fingers with cellist Anne Müller, and the breakthrough Felt (2011), created using felt on piano hammers to define his signature sound. Subsequent releases include the synthesizer EP Juno, the duo project Wonders with Peter Broderick, and Screws (2012). Spaces (2013) captured live performances across two years and was accompanied by his first music book, Sheets Eins. In 2015, Frahm founded Piano Day to celebrate the instrument globally. He recorded Solo on David Klavins' custom piano and won the German Film Prize for Best Soundtrack for Music For The Motion Picture Victoria. Additional collaborations include Collaborative Works with Ólafur Arnalds and a score with Woodkid for the short film Ellis. His 2018 album All Melody emerged from his renovated Saal 3 studio space. He released three accompanying EPs (Encores 1-3) and the concert film Tripping with Nils Frahm (2020). Recent releases include Empty (2020), Graz (2021), 2X1=4 (2021), Old Friends New Friends, Music For Animals (2022), and Day (2024), alongside the third Nonkeen album All good?.
