Behzod Abduraimov's performances combine an immense depth of musicality with phenomenal technique and delicacy. He performs with many of the world's leading orchestras and conductors, and his critically acclaimed recordings have set a new standard for the piano repertoire. Abduraimov has a number of notable debuts in the 2025/26 season, including with the New York Philharmonic and National Symphony Orchestra (Washington), both with Gianandrea Noseda. Other concerto performances include the Houston and Pittsburgh symphonies as well as the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Frankfurt Opern und Museumsorchester, and Hong Kong Philharmonic. The pianist has performed with leading orchestras including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Bamberger Symphoniker, Czech Philharmonic, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Los Angeles Philharmonic, NHK Symphony, Philharmonia Orchestra, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, San Francisco Symphony, and Wiener Symphoniker. Shadows of My Ancestors, his second recital recording for Alpha Classics, was released in January 2024 and features works by Ravel, Prokofiev, and Uzbek composer Dilorom Saidaminova. It was recognized as a Gramophone Editor's Choice, short-listed for a Gramophone Award, and named one of Apple Music's "10 Classical Albums You Must Hear This Month" in February 2024. His first recital album for Alpha Classics, released in 2021, includes Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 1990, Behzod Abduraimov began playing the piano at age 5 as a pupil of Tamara Popovich at Uspensky State Central Lyceum in Tashkent. In 2009, he won first prize at the London International Piano Competition with Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3. Behzod Abduraimov is an Uzbekistani pianist. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Abduraimov began to play the piano at the age of five. He initially started his studies with his pianist mother, later studying with Tamara Popovich. At the age of 15, he began studying with Stanislav Ioudenitch, gold medalist of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2001, at Park University's International Center for Music (ICM). Since 2014, Abduraimov has served as the ICM's artist-in-residence. Abduraimov won the London International Piano Competition in 2009 at the age of 18. He was described by The Independent as "the most perfectly accomplished pianist of his generation". His performance of Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 was noted by The Daily Telegraph as "the most enthralling roller-coaster ride". He signed with HarrisonParrott and Decca Classics following early competitions. He won the Kissinger Klavierolymp in 2010. He released his debut album in 2012 featuring works by Prokofiev, Liszt, and Saint-Saëns. He made his Carnegie Hall Stern Auditorium solo recital debut in 2016 at age 26. He performed at the BBC Proms in 2016 and 2017. He performs regularly with major orchestras including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Mariinsky Orchestra, collaborating with conductors like Valery Gergiev and Vladimir Ashkenazy.

In recital Behzod has appeared a number of times at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium, Queen Elizabeth Hall in London and Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, and has recently been presented by Chicago Symphony, Kölner Philharmonie and Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. Festival appearances include Aspen, Verbier, Rheingau, La Roque Antheron and Lucerne Festivals.
